Bowerbird-Australia-About-Us

Bowerbird Australia is the daughter of the Cotton & Co brand. The Cotton & Co team had an idea for a range of Origami inspired stud earrings and necklaces – something so different from the Cotton and Co arena that it just had to have its own brand. Thus, Bowerbird Australia was born.

Boasting a signature origami-inspired aesthetic, our beautiful sterling silver jewellery collection is more than meets the eye with funds from every piece sold donated to our elected animal charity, Edgar's Mission. Click here to read more about this wonderful cause.

A perfect gift for any animal lover, the Bowerbird Australia collection showcases minimalist and quirky animal silhouettes including owls, giraffes, butterflies and bunnies (just to name a few), available in stud earrings, short necklaces and long necklaces.

The understated design and quality rhodium enhanced sterling silver makes each piece perfect for everyday wear, for every occasion! Our origami jewellery is designed right here in Brisbane, Australia and crafted overseas by a team of trusted jewellery makers. We believe so much in the quality of our jewellery that every piece is backed by our 12-month unconditional warranty.

We hope that you love this beautiful collection as much as we do.

  1. the Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures.

Origami (ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper" (kami changes to gami due to rendaku) is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD at the latest and was popularised outside of Japan in the mid-1900s.
